The Third Person presented a live work as part of the [occupied] program directed by EmergeD for The Merchant City Festival, Glasgow 2004.
The Third Person spent a day in situ generating a site-specific video/audio performance within a vacant shop space at 50 Bell Street.
For a World of Difference was a spontaneous reaction to being at 50 Bell Street, relaying the artists temporary habitation of the site and surrounding area. The site was treated as a temporary visible production unit. Time in the space was used to process, assess and investigate the setting in an attempt to fuse elements and redefine the relationship between research, process, production and presentation.
The performance was work in progress, raw and open, the resources, which were collected during the day, were worked on live during the performance. The audience saw a mixture of video, sound, still projections and performance.
