Collective Commonwealth Anthem uses the traditional songs of the member countries as a medium to explore the cultural relevance and nature of nationality and collective identity.
The Third Person were commissioned to produce this new video work for the Nextwave Festival 2006, a biennial arts festival that in 2006 formed part of the Cultural festival of The Commonwealth Games. It is Australia's leading festival for young artists.
The work was produced in London and presented in the public domain during the Games at ACDC Lane in the central business district of Melbourne.
